What connections actually look like.
Every figure below comes from Helix agents running on real subscribers’ machines, measuring their own lines. Nothing here is modelled, estimated, or supplied by an ISP.
How to read this
- This is not a survey. It measures subscribers who installed Helix — people more likely to have suspected a problem. Treat it as a floor on what a network can do, never as a ranking of providers.
- An ISP appears only past a floor. Below a minimum number of distinct subscribers, and a minimum number of probes, a network is not listed at all — not listed anonymously, not listed with a caveat. Two customers’ lines are two people’s data, whatever you call the row.
- Every figure carries its sample. If you cannot see how many subscribers and how many probes are behind a number, do not quote it — and we will not print it.

Latency figures are sample-weighted means of daily
medians, not medians of the whole window. The wire calls
them
p50_ms_avgfor that reason: a median of medians is not a median, and naming it one would be a quiet lie.

What the ratings mean
Each network is rated for three things people actually do, against the thresholds published in the measurement methodology — the same thresholds the desktop app applies to one connection. A rating is not a star score we invented; it is “does this line clear the bar for a video call, for a game, for a stream”, and you can check the bar.
Bufferbloat is not counted in these figures. It is measured by a deliberate speed test on one machine, and there is no meaningful average of that across a population — so the ratings here are the unloaded ones, and a line that collapses under its own upload will look better here than it feels.
Your line is not in here unless you put it there
Measurements reach these aggregates only from agents enrolled to an account. Nothing identifies you in them: the floor exists so that no row can be traced to a household, and the privacy page sets out exactly what is collected and how to revoke it.
